Ronald Keith Thomsen, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at his home in Alexandria, Virginia after a courageous 28 month battle with Stage IV brain cancer. Ron is survived by his wife of 16 years, Melinda Maury Thomsen; son, Jeffrey; daughter, Kaylee; and four grandchildren: Wesley, Alex, Zoe, and Annika. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Mrs. Thomsen at her home.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where services will take place on Saturday, January 9, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. There will be a reception following the chapel service at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 3:00 p.m.
