JOSEPH M. BOWERS, JR. (Age 71) COL, USA (Ret.)
Joseph M. Bowers, Jr., of Springfield, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010, at his home surrounded in love by his family. Beloved husband of 50 years to Carolyn; devoted father of Joseph Bowers, III, Colleen (Donald) Goldstein, Karen (Richard) Golinowski; brother of Charles Bowers; loving "Pop Pop" of Marc, Adam and Alexa Goldstein and Richie, Megan, and Michael Golinowski.
Visitation at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Virginia on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity Catholic Church on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joe's honor to the American Cancer Society , 124 Park Street S.E., Vienna, VA 22183.
