LAURENCE ROE NEWCOME, Lt. Col, USAF (Ret.)
Laurence R. Newcome grew up in Louisiana and Mississippi, attended Louisiana State University where he received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. He served a distinguished career as a U.S. Air Force Officer and then worked as an aviation consultant in the field of unmanned aerial systems where he made significant contributions and became well known and respected in the field. He was a devoted husband and father and leaves behind a wife and three children, ages 21, 16 and 15.
The family will receive friends at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where a service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends to meet at the Administration Building at 10:30 a.m.
